Please join us Thursday, June 27th, 2019 from 6 – 8 pm for an opening reception of the Hall of Presidents show by Youngstown artist Christie Galazia.
This watercolor and ink series “was inspired by the closing of a wax museum in Gettysburg that went by the same name. The original Hall of Presidents consisted of wax figures of U.S. presidents and first ladies and had been open for nearly 50 years before its closure in January of 2017.”
The opening reception will include refreshments and desserts, a brief show introduction by the artist, and a live performance by The Labra Brothers.
The show will be on exhibit through August 23rd, 2019.
Postcards and magnets will be available for purchase during the reception and show.
The event will take place in the Auditorium on the National McKinley Birthplace Memorial grounds.
All events are free, open to the public, and handicap accessible. The museum is located in the balcony of the auditorium. The balconies and restrooms are not handicap accessible. The first floor of the auditorium is handicap accessible.
The McKinley Memorial Museum will be open for tours during the event.
RSVP requested but not required by calling the Museum at 330.652.4273, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or clicking “going” on this event.
