Exhibit Grand Opening Celebration

The National McKinley Birthplace Memorial is excited to announce an opening gala to showcase its redesigned permanent exhibit entitled “The Timekeeper of Progress:  Life and Legacy of William McKinley.”  The public is invited to help celebrate at the opening gala on Saturday July 16, 2016 beginning with a ribbon cutting at 9AM, followed immediately by tours of the exhibit and closing at 4PM at the museum. Light refreshments will be served.  Masters’ students Lindsey Fisher, Melisa Lambe and Bailey Yoder in Youngstown State University’s Museum Curation and Interpretation II class researched, planned and created the exhibit which gives greater interpretative analysis of William McKinley’s service during the Civil War, involvement in the Spanish American War and creation of the memorial after his assassination.   Admission is free.
